POWER  =  Line Weight & Lure Weight

The line and lure weight rating on a fishing rod is equal to the power level.  

 EXTRA HEAVY  =  25 - 40 lb. & 2 - 4 oz.

HEAVY  =  20 - 30 lb. & 1/2 - 2 oz.

3/4HEAVY  =  17 - 25 lb. & 3/8 - 1.5 oz.

MEDIUM HEAVY  =  12 - 20 lb. & 1/4 - 1 oz.

MEDIUM  =  8 - 17 lb. & 3/16 - 3/4 oz.

3/4MEDIUM =  6 - 15 lb. & 1/8 - 1/2 oz.

MEDIUM LIGHT  =  4 - 12 lb. & 1/16 - 3/8 oz.
